  7. Digitran's portable KS3000 is designed to simulate well control functions and
  8. problem scenarios in both land-based and offshore drilling; wells up to 99,999
  9. feet and water depths up to 10,000 feet are accurately simulated. The KS3000
  10. consists of: 1) 80486 PC with 80 MB hard drive 3.5-inch floppy drive, 4 MB RAM,
  11. UNIX operating system, well control software, and panel test software, 2)
  12. Driller's COnsole, 3) Remote Choke Console, 4) 14-inch DigiGraphics Color
  13. Monitor, 5) Instructor's Terminal with monochrome monitor and keyboard.
  14. Digitran also offers a 19-inch DigiGraphics color monitor and a variety of
  15. other optional equipment and software to meet specific training needs. The
  16. KS3000 allows instructor controlled or student induced problems and condtions
  17. including: differential sticking, bit bearing wear, ram failure, lost
  18. circulation, drill string twistoff, key seat sticking, cut-out choke, annular
  19. leak, accumulator pump failure, increased torque and drag, delayed failures,
  20. and more.
